Author Biography
Marie-Therese Mäder is a scholar of religion, media, and philosophy with particular expertise in the field of media and religion. Since 2020 she has been a senior lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany. She also teaches at the Centre for Religion, Economy and Politics at the University of Zurich and on media ethics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR). She is a member of the research group Media and Religion (www.media-religion.org). In 2021 she won a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship (EU Horizon 2020). She is the author of numerous essays, book chapters, and books on film and religion, migration, funeral culture, ethics and documentary film, religion in reality shows, and audience research.
