Author Biography
Kathrin Trattner studied Religious Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. She is a research fellow at the Kompetenzzentrum Digitale religiöse Kommunikation in Bochum, Germany. Her research focuses on critical investigations of religion and its intersections to other social and cultural categorizations within popular culture, particularly video games. She completed her dissertation, which deals with intersectionality as an approach to analyze Middle Eastern terrorists in recent military-themed shooter games in 2020.
